The reason it is so difficult to explore under water is because there is so much pressure from the water. So every time you go out into the water you have to sit in the decompression chamber so you don't experience heavy migraines and possibly death. It is also hard to live in the bottom of the ocean because it is difficult to get food and water down to the pod.

Why Explore the Oceans?

In these past few weeks, I have learned a lot about ocean and ocean exploration. The Earth has one giant ocean, but is split into several different ones. There are many different physical features in the ocean. They are very similar to the ones that are on land. Oceans even have mountains bigger then the biggest mountain on land. There are also valleys much deeper in the ocean then on land. The ocean also has big coral reefs that are very beautiful. I am taking this course because I want to learn more about the ocean. I think that the ocean is very exciting and interesting. In this class I want to learn about the ocean in detail because it is big and interesting. The  reason science is worth studying is because it is related to everything. There would not be life without science so I think I should learn more about it.
