Why Explore the Oceans?

In these past few weeks, I have learned a lot about ocean and ocean exploration. The Earth has one giant ocean, but is split into several different ones. There are many different physical features in the ocean. They are very similar to the ones that are on land. Oceans even have mountains bigger then the biggest mountain on land. There are also valleys much deeper in the ocean then on land. The ocean also has big coral reefs that are very beautiful. There are great portions of the sea that have yet to be explored.
